Collimated Beam Testing
Collimated beam testing is a controlled laboratory test which determines an ultraviolet (UV) dose-response curve for an individual wastewater and faecal indicator organism(s). The results of collimated beam testing allow UV system suppliers to optimise the design of a UV system to minimise capital and operating costs while ensuring the required level of disinfection.
The graph below shows an indicative UV dose-response curve. By undertaking collimated beam testing on your wastewater and analysing for your microbe of concern, we can provide a wastewater- and microbe-specific dose-response curve for your wastewater treatment plant (WwTP).
